Wow so she has the interview first, and says she only sent friendly texts and then Bird released them:

The text messages released by Bird include one saying: “I am really missing u bird...” and another saying: “I love u bird and wish u let me look after u. Hope u feel better xx”.

Those are just embarrassing. Then all she does is complain about "pressure" and go on to say:

She contended Bird had asked her to sleep with him but “when I said no, nothing happened. I think he was a gentleman. I never felt scared of him I just felt pressured that if I did the right thing my career would go further and faster. If I had slept with him I would probably have had an easier time in Ukip.”

So she leads someone on, then is asked to have sex, and when she says no, the guy acts exactly as he should. Then she complains that things would've been easier if she slept with him. Well ho-lee shit. Heavily flirts in a reciprocated relationship, turns the guy down when he asks for sex, he acts like a gentleman, she complains about pressure--pressure to get a highly competitive job... Pressure in politics? Gasp! No fucking way!--and tries to make a bogeyman out of it, then complains about having to actually earn the position. Where did she think a relationship would eventually go when she's saying she loves him, wants to take care of him, xx. Sounds like she has done nothing but attempt to manipulate her way into the position instead of earning it (insert joke about politicians in general here). First with flirting, then with a "woe-is-me campaign look what I have to do, pressure, boy's club" etc. What's that saying about having to sleep in the bed you make?
