I've seen the term orbiter many times, but never truly understood it's meaning. If we leave sex aside, what else does make a guy an orbiter to a woman. Some links, theory, examples will be appreciated. I need this to understand the dynamics of relationship between two people.

Edit: my friend is seeing a girl, they both say they love each other. But if he escalates through touch, she starts shouting saying, she does not like to be touched, they keep fighting most of the time. He is angry, frustrated. This being a highly conservative country, sex is off the charts before marriage for most of the couples. He is depressed, and being a friend I want to first understand, then help him. He is always putting effort in the relationship. The girl, not so much.
