So the author claims that there are programs directed at young men to highlight the potential for teaching. Has anyone actually heard of any programs like this? Can you share links? Or was this talking out of his ass?

I see the point here, but on the other hand have you met any children this decade? Would you seriously want to spend your working day with 30+ of the precious snowflakes? I can't imagine dealing with their parents would be great either.

Is it possible fewer men are going into the field due to the relatively low pay and high frustration?
