I'm not sure how to feel about this one. Simulated child porn has no direct victims, but it could help give someone an interest in underage people that didn't exist before, or could turn a curiosity into an addiction.

On the other hand, better for him to be watching that instead of the real thing, or worse, directly harming children.

Anyway, in Quebec they've decided on the side of banning it. The guy's an idiot for watching that shit at work, and 60 days is not an excessive sentence. The 10 years as a registered sex offender is harsh and uncalled for imo, in a crime without a direct victim.

Does the US do that btw? Have a time limit on sex offender status? At least he's not stuck with that label for his entire life...

Have you been to a museum and watched classical paintings from the 15-1800's? Cupid is often depicted as a naked child, I know several statues in my city where small childrens penises are clearly visible. Should these be destroyed? Should we burn every painting where the age of the naked person portrayed is debatable?

In Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Juliet is thirteen years old, any play, movie, or paining that mentions of depicts the love scene between those two would be illegal.

Fantasies should never be crimes, a drawn picture should never be illegal to possess or look at. A written story should never be illegal to read or to possess. Actually harming another person however, should and is illegal in most cases. I still find it interesting that we can depict the most brutal and ruthless of crimes imaginable on TV or in books or comics or whatever. Should it come to sex, the naked body, and genitals though it needs to be heavily censored, and god forbid they should be underage, then you might as well be possessing crack or meth or something.
