This is a misleading title. You are equivocating the state of the American educational system to the state of education in 3rd world country's. The organization USAID is primarily focussed on Afghanistan, Pakistan and Africa. These are country's where women are really oppressed and denied educations based solely on gender.

when i was young there used to be this book called "the anarchist cookbook". most of my friends had a copy in high school just because it was a trendy thing to have. it used to be that the government was built on the backs of men, and could be leveled by the wrath of men. we need to empower boys with the ability of self determination, so that they can change things should they become slaves. they need to know how to fight systematic oppression, in every avenue it comes in.

I'm sitting on at least 144 years (July 4th, 1776, to August 26th, 1920- Dec. of Independence to the passing of the 19th Amendment) of not "treating women well" that calls utter bullshit on this. The United States of America seems to have done quite well despite that.

What more praiseworthy than using the damsel in distress trope to disguise their real intentions? It's no coincidence this program is targeted at countries such as Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Good shit usaid has been kicked out of Bolivia, Ecuador, and soon from Venezuela.
