Why is this so difficult? When are people going to come to the conclusion that "rape" is a not so much a gender thing as it is a human thing.

I've seen many women force themselves upon men, when they wanted to be left alone. Surprisingly, this happens with kids all too often. Parents leave their little ones (6-7 years old) in the care of older children (usually girls, 10-12 years old), and the the older girls think that one of the younger boys and younger girls would look cute together, and forces or talks them into making out.

I hear about it all the time. ALL THE TIME.

Present legislation stipulates the crime of rape applies only when men force sex. In contrast, women who force an unwilling partner to have sex face charges of sexual violation. Both carry a maximum sentence of 20 years but only men can be charged with rape.

The penalties for "rape" and "sexual violation" seem to be the same.

Obviously, this is because women don't have enough resources and support. More funding should be allocated so that cougars can express their rapey feelings in a safe environment without persecution.
