Yeah advices at the gym are great unless you're kinda insisting that they follow the advice.

And the girl at this gym was just doing what a lot of people do where you just go to the gym to stay fit and active and aren't too dedicated to it and for a lot of people that's completely fine. Some people know so little about fitness that by introducing them to routined workouts you can help them. But most people already know about it and just don't wanna commit due to their personal life and that's fine. There's no point insisting on it.

If I can stick to the topic for a moment, I understand where the woman in the original post is coming from, different people have different goals. You don't see professional fighters lifting weights the way bodybuilders do, you don't see strongmen lifting weights the way bodybuilders do, you don't see tennis players lifting weights the same way bodybuilders do. The goal is not always to build as much muscle and definition as possible. Sometimes you just need a little bit of strength for your goal, and trying to build heavy muscle would not help you. If that were true, pro golfers would all be huge, right? We know that's not the case.

This seems pointless to complain about... Yeah, I've always taken my workout routines very seriously and it's very helpful to have someone correct something for me, as I want the full workout and like to do it correctly as possible. When I was 18, training for xc mountain biking, I was doing it wrong for months until a family friend (an old man) corrected me and I was very thankful. I was burning myself out too much and not doing enough endurance.

I've had friends that I would try to correct them with their workouts, even just the littlest stuff, but they don't bloody listen to me... I just shrug it off and never mind about it. If they want to pull their back out or if they don't won't to lose weight faster, be my guest. You can't push them to change or keep on correcting them all the time, they'll eventually learn their lesson. I've found that men listen to me more, I have a lot of experience with cardio, sprint training, endurance training and nutrition. Women (the ones that are overweight or lack experience) are harder to get to listen and they think I'm just born this way or don't eat...

Its frustrating, but its best to just let it go, move on and help other people that will listen to you. At the end of the day, it's none of our business with what people decide, all we can do is give advice and hope they take it on board.

The guy knew better because he’s a professional. She’s been seeing him in the same gym for several months. She should have not yelled at him.

That being said he is 100% wrong; why would he ever go over to a girl and have a conversation? In America, today, a western woman, you just stay away from that stuff. Yes there are exceptions, but don’t mess with women just don’t talk to them.

That being said I also strongly feel that all the super empowered women commenting there have one thing in common: they are all super jealous.
