Depends on the country, of course, but since you don't mention it I assume the US. Wouldn't be as terrible where I live, whole Netherlands can be traversed in a few hours.

How did it come to that? Living so far apart, I mean. Not seeing your kids must suck, sorry you have to deal with that.

Think about it this way- another year of anniversary in a marriage that you are unhappy about? You are free now to find better happiness for yourself and also enjoy being single- it’s better now than in a marriage that’s broken. Unless you are the one that ruined it.

I’m coming up on the first anniversary alone too. Might be 14 years if divorce isn’t final.
