I hired a lawyer this week and my stbx was served papers about taking assets and paying maintenance. She showed up at the house two days later, today, came with a friend and a trailer and took a bunch of stuff out of the house. I called her and said what are you doing. She didnt answer. I communicated through our blink camera in the garage that she should be taking anything, she said you can talk to my attorney and proceed to fill up the trailer with $1000s of dollars in tools and other items from the garage. After turning off the power to the camera. She took several items from inside the house as well Including a jewelry Stand that had some of my mother’s necklace I got after she passed away. I called my lawyer, nothing. I called the local sheriffs office to meet me at my house so I could see what she was taking and have a witness. I left work embarrassed saying I need to run home and noticed on the outdoor camera that once I left she started to run around and finally closed the trailer and ran to her truck to leave. Come to find out my son called and told her I was on my way home because she told him she was scared to come there when I was home. Which is ridiculous because last week I asked if we could talk about splitting assets. I’m ready to change the locks. I have no idea what she took and she said the last time she would send me a list and to check your cameras. I can’t take it. The stress is crazy thinking I’m going to come home and everything will be gone. What do I do??
