Any good stories?

Best thing ever? My exwife tried to play the "too sick to work" card in our divorce to get alimony. She wasn't on disability. She just wanted to stay home and pop pills while the kids were in school.

But the previous year, she had to get a job for about 6 weeks to pay for her DUI fines that I refused to pay. She tried putting the fines on her dad's credit card, but her mom found out and screamed at her. They *forced* her to get a job.

Anyway, since I did the taxes, I had a cell phone pic of that W2, showing she could work, she was just choosing not to.

She tried to hide that. She lied on her Affidavit of financial information that she hadn't worked in the past 3 years. I submitted that W2 as evidence.

And at divorce trial up on the stand? Neither her nor her lawyer went over my exhibits, including a print off of that W2. Her lawyer stood up and said, "I object! We don't know whose W2 that is." I pointed to the SSN on the printout to my lawyer. He said, "There's a SSN in box4. Is that your SSN? In box 5, is that the place you worked at?" Judge said, "Over-ruled. Mrs. XXXX. You will answer the question." My lawyer said, "Mrs, xxxx, is that your W2?" She squirmed a bit and then said, "yes, that's my w2."

In the end? Alimony Denied!

Not in 2023, but I appealed a decision by the judge in our divorce and he was overturned… I was pro se. He’s been looking to get back at me for that ever since, so YMMV.

You do you buddy but I think your head is in the wrong place here. Being vindictive and unreasonable is how you rack up massive legal fee and could cost you additional losses in the long run.

I know you are hurt and want revenge. Come to terms with the fact that you won’t get it through the court. Women often learn this lesson the hard way. Did she cheat? Did she leach money off you? Was she a horrible drag on your life for years? The judge doesn’t care, neither do the lawyers. Only you and your mom care.

Get a reasonable deal done asap and move on with your life. The best revenge is being happy, successful and eventually finding a younger hotter woman.
