My divorce was finalized two years ago. The marriage itself and the subsequent divorce weee absolutely horrible. She and her family are the “do as I say not as I do” Christians who spend 90% of their time judging others while always having a reason as to why the same measure of judgement does not apply to them. She has also been diagnosed twice with BPD.

Anyway in the time since our divorce I’ve never missed a day, never missed a doctor appointment or dentist appointment. Never been in trouble with the law. Agnes my kids up for gymnastics, dance and basketball, etc. Was at every practice. I volunteer in their classrooms at every opportunity the school presents. Kids are 4.5/6.

As part of our divorce it was baked in we reassess parenting time and child support May of 2023. She has said over and over she WILL not discuss before then, and is not open to changing the parenting plan. It should be noted my kids cry every week saying they miss me and wish they had more “daddy days.” They say this to her and in front of her and she changes the subject or tells them that Daddy has to work. My daughter is now in therapy because of the challenges. She recommended I take work off with my flexible schedule to get more time which I did and has also denied access even after her recommendation.

I’ve hired the best attorney I can afford at $500/hour and yet feel no relief that the right thing will be done. As of now I have 38% parenting time and she would have it be less if it were up to her.

I guess I’m looking for support/guidance/positive stories to help me stay positive. I’m very very close to my kids and every person who knows us sees that, even her racist family but they live like it’s the 20’s and believe I should work and the kids should just be with her.

Anyway if anyone has words of encouragement or anything else of value they can offer I’d greatly appreciate your input.

Thanks
