Why only 3 days/week? Go for 50% parenting time. Don't let her be the gatekeeper. She isn't more important than you.

Holidays alternate between parents each year. If you have Christmas this year, and she has New Year's, then next year she'll have Christmas and you have New Year's.

Usually there is a standard possession order in your state, I recommend that you go read an example of one so that you can know what to expect.

It's usually 1st, 3rd, and 5th weekends go to non-custodial parent. Father's Day weekend goes to dad, Mother's Day to mom. Christmas and Thanksgiving (sometimes Spring Break) is split into even and odd years, and summer is usually split into a fashion that gives non-custodial parent thirty days.

50/50, or this 3-day-a-week arrangement you want, only happens usually if both sides agree to it. So hope you two live very closely to one another to be able to accommodate school, after-school activities, etc.

Whoever is responsible for primary care of the child the majority of the time (wake them, fix them breakfast, fix them lunch, prepare them for school, pick them up from school, etc etc) is going to usually be the person to be awarded status of being the custodial parent.
