My STBXW and I separated late last year. I was in the military when we met, and we got married in 2014. She’s originally from a different state. We’re still living under the same roof but in separate rooms.

She drinks heavily, treats me poorly, and has frequent outbursts toward the kids, and is absent/tucked away. She tried to kick me out of the house, but I refused, and she spent months threatening to move across the country. She worked up until last summer and made around $50k a year. I make about $150k+, and since March, she’s lost multiple jobs back‑to‑back.

After hours of recorded coercive behavior, threats, and instability, I finally tried to serve her. Right after that, she got “fired” from her job after only two weeks. Then she got another job and was fired again within two weeks. Now she’s suddenly calling herself a SAHM. I honestly have no idea how she afforded an attorney, but she did, and she filed her response. Her family is in Nevada and likely stepped in to assist her.

In her sworn statement, she called me a fit dad and denied my claims, but she didn’t counterclaim or accuse me of anything. Is that a tactic so she can try to bring things up later? Does she know she's jacked up? Has anyone dealt with something like this? I really don't treat her poorly nor the kids. I'm a great father; I give them all my free time. I have a 30-day running log of my task/activities/absences. It's like they gave up, but is currently in it for the money.

Obviously, I don't want to provide too much info; the lack of it is intentional.
