You pay child support? If yes, you think anyone going to put you in jail? Who going to pay child support then? You have to understand this game of chess youre in. Youre not a criminal but the court will trear you like one so that youre scared and pay a lawyer to "help you".
Never be intimidated. This is how you lose. You now have to find proof that she is a liar. Text messages from back then. Anything you can use to punch holes in her story. If you dont have that, its ok, the judge will just extend the order for some time and then it will dissapear. You will not be found guilty if a crime not go to prison. That doesnt bode well for your job which pays child support and your lawyer. You have to lose the fear first. Now my story; I left a pathological liar and cheat 3+ years ago into roach motel hell. I almost did t make it. I kept text messages from 4 years ago til now. One old message to her from 3 years ago reads; "i am going to keep all your nasty messages and nude pictures for when you try to get me in trouble for rape or worse". 3 years later as she started losing custody and the court started seeing her as a liar, she filed a protective order and 4 subsequent violations all based on lies. That was after 2 false police reports and countless false cps complaints. Before it all went downhill, the kids came to me and told me that mom and new boyfriend told them, that i tried to kill her in her sleep. I sent a letter to my lawyer letting him know what happen and to stay silent. 2 months later she started with police and orders. I waited a while and came to court. She was VERY confident. I let her talk for a while and pretended to be serious. When she ended her diatribe, i whipped out her own messages which proved her a pathological liar yet again. She didnt think i still had them. The court clerk told her to withdraw with prejudice but the sheister lawyer unfortunately is nearing retirement and wants one last big fish so he fill the air with his own lies. We are heading for trials in both courts where she is seen as a repugnant liar. Nobody takes her seriously and her boyfriend was already kicked out by the child lawyer once.
Stand tall and buck up! These bastards will eat you alive if you dont. Before you meet in court next time, go boxing or something. Never show fear. Make sure your kids know the lies when they are old enough. If u dont tell them the truth, she will tell them her version. The courts will tell you to gag your mouth. They say its for the kids. The truth is its for the court to retain control

Same thing here, down to the cheating. You need to separate yourself as far as possible from this woman and have all future contact in recording. Do not be alone with her.

My Ex put this bullshit in her journal.. Saying we went out and drank a lot and had sex but she didn't want to, did he rape me? Granted this is her writing it 10-15 years after the fact and after filing for divorce.

Anyone here who has read up on this will tell you this is bullshit. They try to rewrite history to make themselves out to be the victim and make you the villain.

Act calm and unbothered in the face of false accusations. Rage and confusion are understandable feelings, but acting on them will only make you look crazier to outsiders and provide credibility to her negative characterization of you. Acting in anger will weaken your power. Consult a lawyer, do whatever they say, and rid yourself of this person from your life as swiftly and decisively as possible. Do not ruminate about the experience any more than if you killed a venomous snake in your garden
