My ex is the same way. She is the higher earner by far and expects to keep everything. We have made several offers that were well in her favor to start and she ignored them. Now we are offering chalk for my jurisdiction (50/50) and will not waiver as we are coming up on a 3 day trial scheduled. See....whatever you agree to give away to just get it over with you can never get it back. You don't get a do over so don't cost yourself more in agreeing than you would spend to fight for what you are entitled to

Don’t get emotional. Control your words and tone.
Don’t see yourself short. I went into early when I was emotional and agreed to a lot which wasn’t right.
This is a business transaction - be factual , be prepared. It’s a business negotiation , know what you want, your upper and lower limits - know when to walk off.
Don’t handover any money, until your demands / requirements are met. My lawyer didn’t even propose putting money in a trust until things get sorted - I had to propose that to them.
Be generous where possible and firm where needed.
Do the math for keeping the house, if she says sell you ask to split the cost as well to get equity out - remember to include Mortage breaking cost, selling costs and taxes, lawyers fee as well as any applicable carrying cost which you have incurred.
if you are buying it from her, know that you are saving her the costs of sale which works in her favour as well. BUT don’t mention it to her, tell your lawyer to tell to her lawyer coz you aren’t responsible for teaching her math at this point.

All the care you had for her has ended, she isn’t your responsibility now , you are your responsibility. Protect your interests - do your math and homework’s see what works.
