It's been quite a while since we divorced but I have takeen several solo tripz to Japan and loved it each time I've gone. I think everyone should do a solo vacation once in their life and feel not having someone with you most of the time. Do it you deserve to experience solo traveling. I have traveled for six months solo throughout several countries in South America. I worked in several countries for years but it just takes a bit of courage, common sense and wanting to get out of your shell. Believe me it will help with your divorce recovery. Shoot me a DM if you need any advice

I went to Florida (key west) alone. It was fine. I'd do it again, but someplace else.

Eating solo, lounging at the pool, going for runs, breakfast, etc. were all fun. I was only there for 3 days. I'm not the most outgoing person, so it was a lot of hanging out by yourself. Reading, lounging in the sun.

When I solo-cation again, Id go someplace different with more activities. But it was fun enough

Do it. You will realize that you can eat anywhere you want without a side comment . That hotel your staying at just works for you .

Separated in January. Going to Sweden in May.

Just do it. Go for it.

I’ve had to travel a few times with my STBXW since January and have really made an effort to interact with more people. It’s worth it just for the experience. A great piece of advice I got was “if you see something you like about someone (their sweater, earrings, bag, etc. but not their looks), tell them.” People like compliments and it’s a good ice breaker. Even for people you aren’t interested in. It helps down the line.

Been thinking about it constantly. Have 30 acres of forested land in TN to camp but miss Maui. TN is more affordable obviously.

I don't live in TN I'm up north. But I love the southern life and people. Southern women? I'm powerless. My kryptonite.

I’ve traveled on my own a number of times post-divorce. I just end up lonely and depressed (just like when I’m not traveling). I’ve vowed to never do it again.
