I (m, 40) arranged for her to sign the amicable divorce papers tomorrow. I haven't really talked it through with her. We've been separated two years and I'm pretty happy with a new girlfriend. The girlfriend does obviously want this to happen soon.

My wife (early thirties) still loves me, she says, and prays every day that we'll get together. She acknowledges mistakes in the past and says she hoped I would see you this new version of her as a better potential partner. She's on a routine, Saving money, got a good job, not drinking, etc.

I am still scared to go back to her, given her propensity for cc debt and losing jobs and not total mental stability. She didn't like most of my family and I don't see that changing now or in the future much. We didn't have much sexual intimacy. We did have fun, silly times, and cuddled well. More like best friends, sure, but all marriages are different.

I believe she does love me. I love her and worry I won't find that kind of love again. I loved our wedding and am romantic about the soul mate kind of thing.

Sigh. Just feel like it's not ready and worry I'm still in reaction mode. I also don't want to end up blaming my current Gf or resenting her. I also do see my wife socially and want to continue that, at some reasonable level. Understand I'll need to clear that with my gf.

Just feeling closed in and rushed. I appreciate any thoughts. Cheers
