So long story short, got divorced a year ago after 8 years of marriage, with cause as I found out she'd been in an online relationship with her wastrel ex and I had been an unwitting gravy train.

She got the house and car, didn't contest me taking the bulk of the cash as I needed it for relocation to the other side of the country and the lawyer made it clear I could have taken a lot more if I made it ugly.

I'm only now back to a normal emotional state but her behavior is the part that is just surreal. Moment I left her unemployed/unemployable boy toy moved in and it was obvious that she was barely working enough to pay the minimal bills we had. I wouldn't care but the car loan is still in both our names and I get regular robocall alerts to this.

If I ever bring this up though, it turns into an immediate pity party for her, how I have destroyed HER life, which mostly amounted to her cooking the occasional meal and gaming online. (most of that online time had apparently been with him)

There is no insinuation, she comes right out and says I have abandoned her, that I gave up on my responsibilities to her. Apparently being divorced to her is irrelevant, and that her 'real man' (her actual words) is unwilling to help in any way also means nothing, because that was my role in life, to be her financial support mechanism.

I accept this, I just eyeroll and have been aggressively pursuing means to unshackle myself from the car loan so when she ends up getting it repo'd I won't be tarred by it. My question is this - how common is this attitude in ex-wives? Is she just on the extreme end of entitlement mentality or is this normal for women?
