After 1 year, my feelings were still too raw. It took 7 more years, a few random girlfriends, before I was able to even talk to the EX about our adult kids and their life events.

So my ex told me she was divorcing on her bday.. a week after my bday.. and shed gotten me weird gifts at the time.. ie. A new dresser, night stand... (Fyi the cheapest ones you could get from kmart) Fyi we were sleeping in separate rooms, as she had been like seriously ill for almost 2 years... and was just getting better... So it was a bit of a slap in the face.. considering we had talked about her being better.. and me moving back into the bedroom. To let it be said i was more then pissed..
