Which part bothers you? Perhaps if poor young women had access to higher-paying jobs, they wouldn't seek to get married so quickly.

I kind of agree with this, especially after going through an awful marriage and coming to the realization that marriage, in a sense, is really a financial merger.

I have seen so many people get "starter marriages." That's where kids fresh out of high school get married and 6 months later, realize that they can't stand the other person.
