A large safe with a code she can’t guess. This is where to store your documents and electronics so it should be kinda big. I’d consider a different safe at a friends or family house you really trust for the most important docs you rarely need or just for backups and copies of things in your home safe. Put trackers in both.

Sunken cost fallacy. I’ve been there too. Been in the guest room now for two years. The light seems to be at the end of the tunnel. Tentative goal is to settle before summer so we can sell the house during the hot market home selling season. Good luck bro!

Spare bedroom has advantages, such as putting a locking doorknob on it to protect your belongings.

Spare bedroom? Turn it around. Stay in the main bedroom. Kick her out of it. Wait until she is informed, of course. Way too often, is the man who moves out in this situation. Another alternative, if you move to the spare: buy a really good bed for it.

I don’t know why other than emotion. It takes longer to do everything than it should. I’ve noticed that too. I think it’s because of emotion and having to do it as opposed to wanting to do something.

Don’t over analyze. Accept that perfect is the enemy of good enough and move.
