Anyone in SoCal had a quick divorce? I though CA have the 6 months period before divorce can finalized. I’m 7 months in and it feels like it’s dragging on. I already msg my lawyer to tell him if they don’t respond to our general settlement offer, proceed to get a court hearing.

Should I get new laywers? They told me it’s contentious so it’ll take an average of 2 years. To me it’s straight forward 50/50 everything but my stbxw is hiding the fact that she took money from our savings. It can be proven because right after the separation date she deposit the large sum - pretty sure any blind judge can see that it’s martial assets.

Hoping if you had a good lawyer you can recommend or even advice to lower my expectation?
