yeah that's textbook midlife crisis or identity crisis behavior, the name changes, the symbolic jewelry swap, the affair, the ILYBINILWY speech, all of it screams someone trying to shed their old identity and reinvent themselves by erasing everything tied to the life you built together. She's not just leaving the marriage, she's trying to become a different person entirely, and that grandmother's name thing or considering a totally new name? That's her trying to rewrite her origin story like the marriage and the version of herself that existed in it never happened. It's weird, it's disorienting for you to watch, but it's also her problem to figure out, not yours to decode or fix.
