It’s life man. It’s just life. What it means to be human. We can’t escape the pain or the joy. It’s all about learning lessons, having experiences and doing your best. Your best is going to change, from day to day; but you have to do your best.

Be the best dad you can be. Model for your kids what acceptance looks like. How you can go through hell, grow beyond pain and anger and come out stronger. Your lesson now is to learn to accept and move forward. Treat your extra the way you would like to be treated.

We are all hurting. It’s all a really shitty thing to survive. Sometime you just have to cry and breathe.

Hey mate, writing from Melbourne Australia. I’m sorry you’re going through this shit. Really am. I’m afraid lifting weights, exercise etc only puts a band over things. It helps, but once the effect wears off, the feelings return. The previous poster is right. Ruminating doesn’t help, but it kind of takes the mind to place it knows and understands whereas what’s to come isn’t clear anymore once that future together breaks down. The best advice I can give, is to spend time with friends and or family. It’ll remind you there are other people out there who love you, not just her, or that she did. You have kids with her so in a way, you’re always going to have a connection and you’ve always got a reason to keep in touch. So keep in touch the right way, show her you’re strong, capable and dependable and don’t hate on her, even if she deserves it. It will show her you’re the strong one and you’re in control.

Get out of the house and do something fun, go learn something new, do a meetup group, or something, but on those down days don’t just sit in the house and ruminate, it will drive you nuts.
