TalkingParents is the best! Do it now while things are good because it will come in handy when it gets bad. Free to use but if you want to use the cell app its $6

OurFamilyWizard (OFW) is expensive but very comprehensive, it is mainly e-mail based but has a phone app. Also has shared calendar, contacts, “tone-meter”, etc.

My X got a court order for OFW, not because I was against it she just liked involving the courts. It turned out I really liked it and used it a lot as it allowed me to track her “mood swings” as well as a lot of other inconsistencies in her side. She ended up getting it’s use rescinded by the courts less then a year later. 🤷🏽‍♂️

For txt I take screenshots and save them to a specific folder in Google Photos.

If you have a gmail account, you can use Hangouts to communicate. The conversations will be stored in your gmail account. You can even get a Google Voice account for SMS delivery.

Very good idea. I’m headed into trial soon and always thought my messages would just be saved but somehow deleted a huge junk of them. For email, I would suggest printing (saving) as a PDF from a computer. For text messages, take a screenshot with your phone, save them to a computer and then also print to PDF.

I used an app called TouchCopy to download all of the texts from my phone to pdf or text files. It allows you to select specific conversations and date ranges. My attorney liked it so much that she has been recommending it to her other clients.

If you have a MacBook just set it to save messages as long as you’re both on iPhone should work.

if you have iMessage installed you can print and save to PDF this way as well

on iOS device make sure you have messages sync to iCloud
on Mac in the message app, in preferences, select iMessage, settings, there is a button to sync
on Mac, in message, select contact who you'd like to export messages (might need to scroll back and load history), make sure all the messages load
on Mac in message app menu bar select file -> print
on Mac in print screen at the bottom left side there is an option to save as PDF
