Started looking for an apartment and stbx told me she signed her lease. We agreed on a move out date and hoping to get the paperwork after I move out. Sleeping in the guest bedroom alone with my dog is depressing but started a new job that I really enjoy. It’s weird how dreams take a pause when you get married and everything feels like it dies. I rediscovered music that I listened to years ago and started setting goals for when I move out and finalize everything. Going to buy my dream gun, join a social group, start back my work outs and get back into ps4 gaming and gardening. It sucks so much to lose your best friend for 5 years but I keep telling myself it’s for the best long term. Haven’t told my family yet, though they really like my stbx and probably going to take it hard. Also going to lose 90% of my friend group, but starting to be ok with it. No kids and probably will not remarry anytime soon. Ready to get my life back in my own hands, instead of tip toeing around fights and disagreements. Any tips on how you guys told your families? Not planning on telling them until after the finalizing. I do feel like I can do this and this sub has been great for community.
