Hi, I was trafficked by women as a boy. My nation has two huge laws, well, one is an amendment to the constitution, that only effects men, that dramatically impacts our bodies. Women who rape men aren't considered to be rapists, so you won't see the data on that because it's literally allowed. They don't research gender based attacks on men because it's not considered an issue worth caring about. It's so prevalent that almost no man hasn't experienced it, it's just socially acceptable

I’m so sorry :(

I am so deeply sorry for what you went through. I used to date an undocumented immigrant who was trafficked from Eastern Europe as a baby in the post-Soviet landscape; his traffickers were a group of 4 women from Georgia. It sickens me how people don’t realize that women do human sex trafficking too, and that males can be victims.

Forgive me for asking, I'm concerned, but is that guy safe now? My heart goes out to you two.

Unfortunately, I have not heard from him for years and he disappeared off the radar completely. His Reddit username is/was u/NameslessAndHomeless. I think about him often.

Holy shit. I'm sorry, man. It's times like these when I wish I could summon the whole web to look for him. I hope he's doing better or at least free. I hope you're okay too. Please don't blame yourself. My heart goes out to you guys x2, man

I dearly hope to hear back from him one day. I remember how much he struggled as a homeless vagabond with getting COVID just back to back, practically.
Thank you for your kind words, internet stranger. It gives a bit of comfort when I worry about him usually to myself and my current gf.

What are the two huge laws?
[–]reichiek 35 points36 points37 points 2 months ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Selective service. If you don't sign up you lose access to huge amounts of social support systems not to mention the whole drafted to die against your will that is looking to start up again this year. The second is circumcision, protected by the the 14th amendment. I'd include death, loss of basic social protection, and genital mutilation as infringing on someone's bodily rights

The US if I had to guess?
[–]reichiek 17 points18 points19 points 2 months ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yup although both are issues in more countries than just the usa
[–]Nicherix 3 points4 points5 points 2 months ago (2 children) | Copy Link
If Google doesn't lie, the 14th amendment declares equality of all the US citizens in terms of law and rights. How it protects circumcision? I don't distrust you, I'm just really wondering and want to get to know.Â
[–]reichiek 17 points18 points19 points 2 months ago (1 child) | Copy Link
The 14th amendment was used to uphold allowing mother's to commit genital mutilation, under the guise "parents allowed to make medical decisions for their children" despite there being next to no positives of it and many negatives (outside of specific medical conditions)
To add comparison it's like saying getting your child breast implants would be allowed because "as a parent you can make medical decisions". It would never fly, but as a boy, it's allowed

Seems like the judge's brain was on a vacation in Bora-Bora when he or she had sentenced that parents' right to mutilate their children falls under the 14th amendment.Â

Yes, rape in our penal code is defined as "Forced penetration from a man to a woman".

It's bitterly funny how she specifies it to women trafficking ADULT men as if women trafficking boys are somhow less bad.Â
[–]Upset_Election9633 14 points15 points16 points 2 months ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She just want to leave out women's implications in those to make them look innocent.

“Show me laws written to control men’s bodies.”
Circumcision of baby boys is legal and isn't illegal in any country while circumcision of girls is illegal. That's an example of parents controlling boys’ bodies. They are controlling what their genitals should look like. The law doesn't protect boys from circumcision.

That too.

How men are kept around like slaves if their partner committed a paternity fraud, this and the fact that multiple government took away men's ability to operate paternity tests on their own children.
Women do get the possibility to throw money at the problem of not wanting to be a mother by abandoning their child eventually but men don't get to do that.

This is a terrible person.
[–]FMWizard 2 points3 points4 points 2 months ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think this just days more about her than anything about men.
When i see someone so worked up online now I think "she must have been hurt my some man". Someone who used the asymmetry of power to dominate her. So she couldn't get back at that individual so she, wrongly, generalises to all men.
Sure she's wrong, but shouting it out and waving fists doesn't really help the situation, it's her for that matter.
It's anyone else tired of all the anger?

Why is it always .... sexual?
Why when it comes to "all men are bad because *insert sexual violence trope*
[–]Tiny_Professional358 56 points57 points58 points 2 months ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Female teacher’s preying on male Students.
Females getting away with DV on men.
Females getting away with rape and SA on men.
Men are expected to sign up for a potential draft.
Men are expected to stay behind on a cruise ship if they’re aren’t enough life boats.

We get a lot of the worst experiences as boys, but these people aren't actually just ignorant and need somebody to tell them our horror stories. It's just rhetoric to agitate their own bases and encourage indiscriminate hatred, and to bait a vulnerable guy to sharing something traumatic so they can use it to hurt him more. Be careful what you share, especially if it's still raw for you and can affect your mood. If they smell blood they say the most cruel things they can think to hurt you as much as they can. They do it to each other too sometimes if any of them becomes unpopular enough to be a target. If you share something you need to be in the right mindset to deal with the ridicule.

The misandry in the screenshot isn’t that it neglects bad things done by a microscopic group of women, it’s that it equates what a microscopic group of men does with the group of all men.
[–]meeralakshmi[S] 19 points20 points21 points 2 months ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It’s honestly both.

Mark Van Dongen’s acid attack by his ex resulted in him losing his leg and eventual paralysis from the neck down (the details are genuinely horrific so be warned if you read more about him)
feels unfair to ask they be walking around

Unaware cringe - "look this bias in law that only allows recognition of female victims and our push to only be inclusive of POC women has nothing to do with how things are reported!"

Odd phrasing as “just as bad.” Like, what’s that negative outlook an answer to? General enmity vs the human race? So a feminist wades into abject cynicism about our own species in order to do a “well, akchually” misandrist riff on it? “People suck, but men suck more!” Now there’s a visionary perspective worth indulging… So am I supposed to counterargue, “Nuh uh! Womenz iz even worster than da guys!”? Leave it to a feminist to inspire humanity to be their best selves…
The specifics of the cynical quibble are lame as well. The fact that “mostly men” do a thing doesn’t equate to “most men” do a thing, so gang rape sounds really bad but is the rarest of the already very rare sex crime... Sororities can become “known” for rape due to false allegations… and, no, no college organization can offer the rape of women as one of its features. Also lots of women raping men is not known or not recognized as rape even when known. Hysteria about men is a feminist’s bread and butter.
The trafficking of adult women (and both male and female children who she leaves out) and the splashing of acid on the faces of girls trying to attend higher education- as well as female circumcision (sex organ mutilation), confinement to burqas, and “honor rape” which is a form of legal gang rape- are indeed prevalent issues of misogyny in other parts of the world than the West. That international disparity in itself shows it’s not a male issue but instead what it looks like when a practical “war of the sexes” dividing the population on severe sex lines is actually being orchestrated within a national population (in all cases based on religion). Western feminists appear to prefer to engage in such a war against Western men rather than making the most of quite reasonable social relations between the sexes prevalent in the West after men and women paved social equality together…
