In fact it is the lower part of your brain that needs overgeneralizations like AWALT. The emotional, illogical, irrational, unintelligent, and fearful part of the mind is not built for noticing nuances and appreciating individual people. That's the part that tells you AWALT is factual. RP and MGTOW trap men into a hyper subjective, society-centric philosophy where your lower brain rules all.

When you meet a woman, you're dealing with an individual that you know nothing about. If you presume to know anything about her because she is a woman, you engage in magical thinking.

AWALT I think refers to a specific kind of woman: the woman that entertains PUA and red pill mentalities. If you really focus on the women you know in your life, you'll find stealing your money, house and freedom aren't really on their to-do list.

The problem with MGTOW isn't that they recommend the single life, it's that they are a thinly veiled hate group.

There is a vast middle ground between spending all your time and money on a family, and isolating yourself out of hatred for or fear of women.

You can be happily single. You can be happily dating without cohabitating. You can change your dating parameters to exclude women who expect to trade on their beauty and receive a traditional provider (such women are a dying breed anyway), and instead include women who support themselves financially and plan to continue doing so- which incidentally, if you are a millennial, means at least 80% of your female peers. You can be a househusband- if you wanna raise children then really DO it, man. You can have a nontraditional household- some of my friends are in a polyamorous home and may end up raising children with 5 parents and at least 4 incomes.

The only thing you can't do, in modern society, is contribute your sperm and nothing else. You can't have a free live in sex slave/maid/nanny/cook/therapist like you could back when that was a woman's best option. You gotta pay for that now.

Men and women are interconnected in ways we don't really fully understand yet. Advertising has tried to tap into the "lower part" of the brain as you put it, to sell meaningless shit you don't need but FEEL you need to attract a companion.

There is nothing inherently wrong with living life by yourself. Many men and women in history have chosen to stay out of long-term romantic relationships and chosen not to have children. Not everyone is suited for this path (despite what society will convince you), but it is significantly healthier to admit this than to force yourself into a role you know you cannot fulfill.

Look at who you are yourself. You want a relationship, but you also want freedom. Once you have a wife and children, your life will never truly be your own after that point. Neither will your (hypothetical) wife's life be the same. In fact, she will be having your children for you, with all the baggage that comes with that. Healthy relationships are possible, but there will always be compromise, never 100% freedom. That is the nature of a marriage, tying yourself to another person. It is either romantic or horrifying, depending on your perspective. Do you want a wife and kids, or the idealized vision you believe it will be? It is best to fully examine this.

I don't think there's anything wrong with choosing to be single forever.

We're alone on this cold, dead space rock. You'll be here for a while and then you'll die; whatever you want to do with that time is up to you. Many people have found meaningful lives without romantic partners or children. Having a job you love, a house you love, experiences you love, money to yourself...that's great.

But that's only "freedom" if that's what you want to do. If that's a conscious choice, if that's a value-driven desire, there can't be anything inherently wrong with it. It is a choice I can respect and admire. On the other hand, some people bullshit themselves and say that what they want is unlimited X-Box and pizza five nights a week because they are afraid of having what they really want instead (a romantic partner, children, a settled life). I don't think that's brave or free. I don't think its brave or free to get a wife and kids because you're "supposed" to have that when you really just want pizza and X-Box. I think freedom comes down to doing and having what you authentically want irrespective of fear.

I say that because I think the inherent goal of this sub (on behalf of those not shilling for pilled ideology) would be to separate out the question of being alone vs. AWALT. All women aren't like anything because you can't take any group of people and say "They are all like that". There are no biotruths, people are complicated and fucked up, and usually in their own special ways. Sex and gender has no monopoly on the wonder and folly of human nature. The spectacular thing about being alive is going out in the world and meeting the interesting, complicated, loving, broken people in it. So if the argument is that you would rather be alone than have a woman in the warped, backwards, fabricated redpill framework, then that's good news since they are largely wrong. But if you just want to be single and free to spend all your money on yourself, see the world, collect motorcycles, watch porn at full volume in your own living room, and do whatever you want? That's great!

My argument would come down to everyone getting precisely what they want. If that's a romantic relationship, that's great. If that's all-white Italian leather furniture that you can buy with the confidence of a man who lives alone, I say go for it! I think the crime is any ideology that tells you your options are more limited than that, because fuck that noise.

Don't forget about the false accusations/charges ,at anytime she can acuse you of rape or abuse and cops/courts will LOCK YOU UP and you will be raped for REAL. I dont think AWALT is true, and my own experience confirms it. However i do believe that in this day and age, where men are treated as criminals and women are treated like the embodiment of goodness, TAMWLT "There are many women like that".

So, in order to start a family, you have to be much more careful than in the past. As you are literally putting your life on the hands of your wife.

You can still be Mgtow, truth is mgtow was never about what it is today, Mgtow was a way of life for men who decided that they didn't want long term commitment, you can still be mgtow without the negative parts of it. most real legit mgtows still are ok with women, they have female friends, date, they just don't want a long term commitment, the problem with modern mgtow is that it has been overran by misogynistic incels, and bitter men, who use the platform to bash women and complain that every woman is a horrible person. See all the articles about women not wanting to marry because all the men were their lessors in terms of finance and education? How much more clear does it have to be that marriage is thinly veiled government sanctioned prostitution?? MGTOW teaches men freedom from legal and financial slavery to women and their state pimp daddies; therefore, MGTOW is wholesome goodness incarnate. A lot of women bash MGTOW because it lowers their chances of snagging a meal ticket. A lot of men bash it because they're naive and just haven't learned their lesson, yet. Both groups do what they can to have MGTOW opinions censored and deleted. I graduated #1 in my uni class, had an amazing career, retired young and never have to work again. I do my own cleaning and home cooking. I have a great life and I'm not handing the keys to that life over to someone who's going to try to bend me to her will. Just say no. Marriage isn't worth it. Those that say it is are just coping. I can't tell you how many of my married male acquaintances would love to see me stuck in their situations and hate me because I'm not. They hate me because I have the freedom they willingly gave up, some even on bended knee. That's revolting.
