X is generally a really toxic place. I can't stand being on there. It's so filled with bots, too. I know you can't leave your business page but could you perhaps get your political discussion needs met by joining something like Threads instead? So you'd still have your business on X, but you'd spend some of that scrolling time on another platform.

Ooh! I know! I come from a tech background and unfortunately the algorithm is pretty easy to hack.

Change who social media THINKS you are so they categorize you differently and start showing you different ads. Do this by following other types of accounts. For example, I am a big believer in antiracism so I started following black women antiracist activists. Within a day, I started seeing videos/posts of other accounts that they follow and I just started following those. Now my algorithm is flooded with the likes and follows of the people I follow rather than what it is trying to target me for. Just follow a bunch of accounts that you DO believe in. Make the algorithm think you are a black man/woman/person, a queer man/woman/person, neurodivergent man/woman/person, just start there. Even if you aren’t that profile, it will get you out of redpill so you can start looking for other content. Get your algorithm detoxed. Happy to share some recs.
Unfollow any redpill accounts and actively report posts that you don’t want to see.
Tell them about the ads you don’t want to see. Report any gambling-related ads.

Facebook reels gives you this even if you showed zero interest. Click the three dots and aelect "not interested". Do this for all redpill stuff that comes up.

Same for any unwanted propaganda.

The algorithm is like an annoying child, it'll keep pushing things to you if you keep commenting or engage with anything even if you dislike it. But will lose interest if you show no interest by keep scrolling past it and not engage. Start engaging in other posts that you are interested in, your algorithm will start showing you more of what you engage in and less of what you don't

X and Instagram are the worst for it. For instagram specifically you have to either take a huge break from it so the algorithm can reset and/or go on a massive like spree of irrelevant, ideally, wholesome content and it will trick the algorithm to start showing more of that, essentially diluting the toxic content you see. Deadass look up a hashtag like #catvideos or #travel or literally anything else you can think of and swipe and like every video. Once you do that, you’ll see it turn from toxic crap every video, to every other video, then to virtually not showing it at all.

Instagram loves to promote ragebait and violence on there, so doing this from time to time helps balance it.

Dude I probably shouldn't be commenting here because I was never redpilled. As a very openminded left leaning person, the amount of redpill shit I see on my fyp is insane. 50%-60%. And It literally started in 2024, specifically.

X goes crazy pushing redpill content. Do yourself a favor and get off X for good. Next time you’re on X just take a look at the replies and all you’ll see is bots fighting for engagement and literal idiots asking grok to think for them. I’m convinced that 90% of the content on X is from bots engagement farming. idc if you double your insta / reddit/ tiktok screentime but just GET OFF X
