Hey everyone, I wouldn’t call myself "ex-RP." I think some Red Pill values do make sense and I can’t deny them. However, something that I’ve never seen brought up, especially when talking about women losing their value with age and all that jazz, is that people forget the simple fact of proximity. Now, I don’t think it’s untrue that you shouldn’t wait until you’re older to date, especially as a woman if you can help it; I agree with that.
RP is hyper focused on Strategy vs. Simple Connection
But the thing I feel like with a lot of Red Pill stuff is that it focuses so much on strategy and so-called statistics (that honestly are questionable sometimes) that it forgets about how simple it really is for MOST men who aren’t obsessed with getting the youngest woman. For example, almost all my friends, especially those who met in their 20s or in their early 30s, they got together through proximity. What I mean is, these are people that met their spouses through friends, who were repeatedly in the same spaces and parties together, or worked together.
Social Circles and Settlement
I know so many people, and you probably do too, who started dating and even got married because they ran in the same circles. If you get along with someone and find them attractive, a lot of people don’t keep searching. I feel like Red Pill for men is less about settling down and more just so focused on searching for someone to pad their ego or social status. And whatever fine, but calling other men who don’t do that less alpha or masculine is crazy work.
