You say you found no evidence that the 20/80 theory doesn't exist.

Did you find scientific proof, published in a peer reviewed scientific journal that proves it does exist? Because, as a scientist, I have yet to see any real solid evidence that this 'theory' is even remotely true.

You are doing nothing but hurting yourself by believing this.

I'm not with my husband because of how he looks, though I do find him attractive. I'm not with him because of how much money he makes, at the end of the day we both earn about a 50/50 split of the household income. The most attractive thing about my husband, and why I married him and remain faithful to him is how he treats other people, and also how he treats me.

It may surprise you to learn this but not everyone sees the world in the same way. Not everyone divides people into "high value" and "low value". Some people - myself included - find that idea abhorrent.

Aside from actual sex addicts, most men, regardless of how good looking they are do not have "harems". They have monogamous relationships and they get married at the same rate as everyone else.

People find different things attractive. As much as TRP tries to deny it in order to force people into boxes, if you step outside you'll see all kinds of different people in relationships with each other.

Actually just need to travel a little bit. I have lived in different continents and countries, and the amount of guys who are supposed to be (appearance-wise, financial-wise, able-bodied-wise, etc) in the 80% of male crowds, who are in a happy LTR/marriage are just too massive to say that only 20% of guys are having it all.

Most men in this world have never heard about TRP, manosphere or 20/80 rule. They just live their lives, some found someone, some do not. But you do yourself no favor by willingly poisoning yourself with this kinda ideas.Just think about any other guys in this world who have never heard about any of these theories/rules and just happily live their lives. Don't you want to be more like them?

If the 80/20 rule was true, 80% of men would be virgins, or only have sex a couple of times, or only have sex with prostitutes. Also 80% of women would never get married because the 20% of men can only marry 20% of women.

Does this seem like an accurate description of reality?

People want to get to know each other based on outer things: looks, status, money and such. In a first impressions way it's attractive and it creates the want, a desire, in us to get to know that stranger (man or women).

However, we stay and build a relationship with that person (platonic or not) based on inner stuff: overlapping interests, philosophy, admiration, similar value system etc.

It's cliché but it seems how things work. Halo effect and all psychological workings of a human. Judgement is a part of humans.

Yeah dude, I used to think the same, but then you find many women who don't give a crap about whether you look like a Chad. Also the Pareto principle doesn't work across the board for everything. Its more of a confirmation bias that has been turned into a rule of thumb.

Also just because a girl isn't physically attracted to you at first, doesn't mean she can't love you for who you are. Attraction can be developed. Like someone who is ugly who has a great sense of humor and personality can become a 10x more attractive.

why do people who leave TRP still engage in dating

I have the attraction from leveling up with rp and manage my drive with the offers I get.

I would never want to only be judged by my looks

Well, that's basically modern dating, tinder etc. There is no way to cheat and (yeah trp is usually the path for attraction)

I suggest increase social exposure, join clubs etc to meet persons.

It will be interesting to learn/see what options there is.
