Me F(22) is dating a guy M(26) who’s originally born and raised in Korea. I grew up with my parents teaching me that I should grow in the world and establish my own views the way that I want to. Those views are mainly liberal and feminist as my dad has always been one to encourage me to do whatever I want and can be whatever I want.

About a year ago I started dating my bf who was born and raised in Korea. His parents were liberal but he ended up super conservative and red pilled. He actively consumes Andrew Tate, Jordan Peterson, Charlie Kirk, and whatever red pilled content there is out there. When we started dating politics never came up really until the election where those topics started becoming more prevalent (and we had moved in together in April). Before I knew he was on the more conservative side as he while he had made comments on the way I dress and my guy friends never really controlled me.

It wasn’t till we moved in together things started becoming bad and we started fighting about these things. He’d make comments about women and LGBTQ+ people that I thought was bad. He’s told me things such as “men are more competent at certain jobs than women” and that “women leaders aren’t good and shouldn’t be in positions of power” bc men are better at them.

It’s been getting so bad we can’t even talk about it and just agreed that we wouldn’t ever talk about politics. What’s confusing is that he does think things like abortion should be legal but then doesn’t like when I say that republicans took away abortion rights and now are mad women aren’t having sex. It got so bad he even told me over text he didn’t want to “hear my stupid opinions” which he apologized for after.

I would wanna break up but I have terrible abandonment issues with my BPD and ADHD and just am feeling stuck. I love this man with all my heart but this clash is getting to me.
