I would say that a very small percentage of people are genuinely dark triad. I would say that this is good evidence that being dark triad was sexually and socially selected against but any genetic predisposition to being DT has remained in our gene pool kind of like other issues like being born deaf, speech impediments, autism, ect. The idea that dark triad men are "more attractive" to women is based off of science that just says that DT men are more "sexually successful" meaning they have more sex. This is likely due to the fact that being a narcissistic psychopath will just make you better able at manipulating women who have been emotionally traumatized/are like addicted to drugs or something. A similar example is science showing that men with felony convictions are also more "sexually successful". This is where we get the red/black pill saying that woman wanna fuck prisoners. In reality men who are released from prison are like statistically more likely to engage in high risk sexual behavior (fuck women raw) and thus will technically be more sexually successful than men with like accounting degrees who may just have one or 2 kids with thier wives. Dark triad is an antisocial personality type that would definitely have been selected against throughout hunter Gatherer tribes. No one likes an asshole, women like strong confident men, but not no one likes an asshole. Also these women felons and DT men are fucking are women that most normal men likely wouldn't want to fuck unless they were thier only options. I imagine a felon gets out of prison and goes to fuck a hooker or a whore or something not a quality women who has a normal emotional state

Being deaf, and speech impediments aren't genetic disorders as much as birth defects if it's since birth. Being a person who dated ADHD girl, and an OCD, while having autism myself I can tell you the advantages of them.

ADHD / ADD has the advantage of creativity by being able to move from one subject or aspect and another thus leading to a creative mind and a jack of all trades type of person. Add the fact that most have hyper focus and they can specialize as needs be. In theory they make incredible scavengers and hunters due to the need for excitement.

OCD can check for flaws in ideas or situations, so they can bring up the problems even thought they're exaggerated, and try to fix ad nauseum through sheer contemplation. Which leads to a group being able to deal with their weaknesses. I can imagine that an OCD would the one building the tribes fortification against predators.

Than we have autism, who due to their many features, tend to have to be confined to a specific task, add the fact that their special interest make them not tire of their job they become experts in it. So they can be the ones who know how to make mundane things like shoes, or clothes. Or if they have the tools make welders, or builders.

The issue with the examples I gave is that they're so specialized and specific that we don't need a lot of them. A tribe of only autistic well not be willing to go scavenge, a tribe of only ADD will not be willing to settle. And a tribe with no OCD will not be willing to consider their short comings. vast majority of people are in the middle.

DT isn't a birth defect, and arguably can be said to not be a neurological disorder so it's classified as a personality disorder. Genetics play a part, it's just that personality isn't as cut and dry as other disorders. Yet with all the disadvantage that neurodivergence brings, DT doesn't. And it's still thrives more than actual beneficial divergencies.

The closest diagnosis for those DT cluster B personality disorders : Antisocial, Borderline, Histrionic, Narcissistic. Would love to know if there's a better term.

Now here's the issue, those cluster B personality disorders, tend to have the most sex partners I know. One who is borderline would latch to one guy and to the next. I hated her and most of who I know hated her due to her trying to slander everyone, including me. Yet she had many sexual partners.

I met a guy who was diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder yet he had a new relationship every 6 months or so ( I knew him since the age of 14). His relationship would end in abuse yet he was successful. And they weren't ugly or vulnerable women. But they were as rude as the abuser.

The thing is this, guys with DT are successful with sexual partners, they don't get down of the barrel partners either. And true those people may have did it despite their disorders. but it doesn't change that being DT does attract sexual partners.

Now you can argue that they're down of the mill partners, you can argue that rational people don't want to associate with them, or that tribes to tolerate them don't survive. and you'll be right, But the thing is this:

They're relationship wise / friendship wise more successful in terms of numbers, if they're intelligent they get to high positions, and evolutionary they survived. But here's the thing, you can argue that it's all due to successful manipulation. And they're not attractive. But you need to give good reasoning why the things I gave don't apply.

And so the question comes to this, what evidence are there that DT isn't attractive?

edit : my example was more of an anecdote of how DT works on a personal level, not an argument for DT being attractive.
