Those are opinions, not facts. Someone planted these seeds in you at some point, and just because you believe it doesn’t make it true.

Now you can behave in ways to push people away and where people don’t respond positively to you, that’s a result of self-fulfilling behavior, but again, not objective reality of who you are and always will be.

We can’t expect people to love us more than we love ourselves. Our parents were supposed to love us unconditionally, but that doesn’t work out for everyone.

Start with learning to love parts of yourself until you love every flaw. That embrace of your own vulnerabilities will draw others in. It’s a long, hard road, but the alternative isn’t really an option (self-loathing for the rest of your life).

I kinda agree with you and tend to relate. For guys like us, who have few if any close friends (I know I haven't since high-school despite going to college), who are very introverted and not as "open" socially as our peers, the feeling of invisibility is all too familiar.

What I lack in charm and personality I make up for in brains, self-sufficiency, and conservative values. Unfortunately, I realize this will only come into play in the long-run when women want to settle down with responsible people.

If I really put in the effort can I "fake it till you make it" to get a gf? Sure. Is it worth it to me? No considering I would quickly revert to my true self and they'd lose interest.
