Why are people here so against TRP?

So you read all these books "How to Win Friends and Influence", "No More Mr Nice Guy", "Models", which I too have read after discovering the read pill. Now tell me, did any of these books talk about women or feminism or other people in general in a bad way? No they didn't. Because you can't blame anyone else for your personal problems. So please, focus on self improvement but cut all the negative crap that TRP wants you to believe out.

I have a very successful marriage for nearly 2 decades and relationships with a variety of people that are rewarding and I have a sense of fulfillment from the things I've learned along the way about myself and others.

Redpill is the antithesis of everything that I've learned, it appeals to the most momentary needs of the self, an ideology of "taking for now" rather than "investing in others for all time." It's structured narcissism and stifles your ability to connect to your female partner as an actual equal, friend and companion that you can have a rewarding life with, and instead looks at women, and other men alike, as competitors and animals, sucking the miraculous human attribute of free-will and thoughtful empathy out of all your interactions with others.

It boxes people into roles and uses silly vernacular to justify harmful stereotypes. It's like a really cool gun that feels great to play with but has such a faulty mechanism inside that actually using it is harmful to yourself and others, never mind that it's designed as a weapon to begin with and only serves the purpose of letting you "get your way" over others.

Self improvement doesn't need hateful anti-women rhetoric to work, you just have to exercise, embrace hobbies, care for yourself and your emotions, socialize and try new things that make you uncomfortable. That's it. No magic pills, no political/sexist manifestos, just deal with people as you encounter them and put the foolish handbooks away.

As others have already said, while it's true that TRP includes some genuinely positive advice, it's wrapped in a toxic package. For example...

TRP made me realise that women are by nature polyamorous and thus cannot be completely trusted.

It's not hard to find examples of horrible women to confirm this bias if you choose to embrace it. It's also not hard to find examples of horrible men if you're looking for that. The fact is, many humans are horrible. It's not a gendered thing. I've personally known more women who have stuck by their man through hard times. I read the descriptions of women on TRP and I look at the actual people I've known in my life, and it's like the people over on TRP are living on some alien planet.

Maybe some of those people have actually had such consistently negative experiences from women in their lives, but I suspect that they are choosing to focus on the worst examples to justify their anger.

If you've had bad experiences that have left you with anger then that's fine, process that as you need to. However realize that if you insist on seeing women as fundamentally untrustworthy, you will only end up with women who meet your expectations, and will therefore further confirm your views. There is a whole other world out there that you will be closing yourself off from.

TRP sold me a lot of ideas regarding "game" and "approaching" that although were a good learning experience and made me more at ease in social situations was complete snake oil: Game doesn't really work. It's all a numbers game.
TRP made me date (few) women who were all mentally fucked up in different ways because that's the kind of women that game, with all it's gimmicks, pretenses and manipulations tends to attract.
TRP fucked me over about the idea that i would never find intimacy with women nor that i would ever love or be genuinely loved. And told me to swallow it and stfu because "feelings are beta, bro" to start with. Fuck that, intimacy is a human need.
TRP taught me to overcompensate my insecurities with my "masculinity" to be extra douchy to those arround me and called it "being an alfa male", which fucked me over socially.
TRP told me feminism was the root of all the evil in he world. Feminism is for the most part an imagined enemy that doesn't have half the impact TRP says it does.
TRP made me believe stupid shit like female nature and women being inferior to men because "evolutionary psychology". Until i started researching evolutionary psychology, that is.
TRP endoctrinated me with their borderline cultic tactics about how everybody in the world is either a blue pill mangina or a woman and you're either with these people or you accept the "truths of red pill". Sold me an imagined enemy of emasculating society slowly rotting and "making the west fall". It's all cultic bullshit.
TRP made me feel worthless in my endless pursuit of trying to be a "20% man", trying to get women just to prove myself and others i wasn't a nerd anymore, trying to be "dominant" in every social situation out of fear of not being perceived "good enough".
When i criticized TRP, TRP told me "it was my fault" because "it's always your fautl" never the advise. Advise is given as the ultimate truth that doesn't fail ever. Only you do. And i always believed this. Until one day i didn't.

In many ways i'm thankful for the TRP experience but it done more harm than good. TRP? No thanks.

I love it when redpillers tell me I'm a heartless creature incapable of loving just one man /s It took me nearly 3 years to get over my ex and I still feel a pain in my heart when I see him. I don't think I even want another guy for at least a few years. How I wish I were polyamorous and could just fall in love with the next guy who comes along. There's plenty more women like me but I guess you need to think of us like cattle to protect your feelings.

The trouble with The Red Pill as it is presented is that it has cottoned on to a couple things that are true, and then attached them to a whole bunch of lies. But because the true things are true, the lies don't get filtered.

True thing the first: women are attracted to men who are attractive and/or interesting.

This is true. It is absolutely, 100%, totally, completely true. If you are neither of those things, women will not be attracted to you. Why is this so? Because all human beings are attracted to other human beings who are attractive and/or interesting. Now, pretty much everyone can manage to be some combination of attractive and interesting to somebody else. In fact, if you are totally deficient in one category, you actually can max out your stats in the other to compensate. To grab two famous examples, Mick Jagger and Steve Tyler are both...well, there are better looking men out there, let's say. But they're both very successful in terms of attractiveness because they are also both very interesting.

True thing the second: outward demonstrations of attractiveness or interestingness will get more women interested in you. (Usually TRP will phrase this as "go to the gym and get ripped," but the reason they tell you to do this is so you can be visibly attractive.)

This is also true. This is a genuine, absolute, not-a-lie-at-all thing that TRP says. If you cannot demonstrate your characteristics of attractiveness or interestingness somehow, women will not be attracted to you. Why is this so? Because human beings are not telepathic. You may be the greatest guy in the universe on the inside, but unless you can get at least some of that greatness to the outside where other human beings can interact with it, nobody is ever gonna know it's there.

Evo-psych not needed. OK Cupid surveys not needed. These things are not complicated. They're not even principles that are unique to attracting women. You can turn both of them around and say them any woman in the world and they'd still be totally true.

Pretty much everything else you get from TRP is either a lie (There is no behavioral trait you can master that will give you a sure-fire guarantee of attracting every woman, without fail. None. Women are individuals, my dude. AWALT is a lie. Pick one woman you want and focus on attracting her. Or, pick a type of woman you'd like, and figure out how to attract women who fall into that category. Either way, you're never gonna attract every woman, give that dream up, dude, it's not gonna happen.), or a projection of their own behavior--or desired behavior--on to women but framed in a negative light. ("Women are all hypergamous and sleep around!" Well, friend, TRP dudes are pretty damn hypergamous and sleep around. Or at least all want to. And none of those guys seem all that capable of pair bonding, so I'm not quite sure why they think they deserve a woman who can.)

Not to mention, TRP has a weird way of encouraging its members to idolize sexually conservative women with strong moral values whilst simultaneously encouraging their members to be people that those sorts of women would run from, screaming. Speaking as a sexually conservative woman with strong moral values, I would probably throw up if I found myself dating a TRP man. Men who believe that women are only useful for sex, cannot possibly have real and genuine emotional attachment, and are incapable of logical thinking are not in any sense men worthy of respect or love. Particularly since that man wouldn't believe that respect or love was even real in the first place.

Plus, the vast amounts of time TRP encourages its members to cheat on, lie to, trick, purposely confuse, or outright emotionally abuse their girlfriends or "plates" (super classy, BTW) is its own reason to disavow the entire thing.

I suppose, though, the main problem is that TRP tries to create a system where men can form attachments, but they never have to risk getting hurt. Let me save you some time and assure you that such a system does not exist. You cannot care for anyone, or even anything, without risking getting hurt. The price of love is the pain of loss, and until the world caves in that will always be true. Or, as my good friend Jack put it:
