Tell them that they arent what you expect them to be and if they try to talk you out of it you can block them. You dont owe them your time.

If they ask you out again, just politely decline.

"No, thanks; I have plans."

"I've enjoyed you, and I don't think we should continue to see each other."

"No, thanks; I'm taking a break from dating to focus on work/other things/my social life."

"No thanks, I've decided not to date right now."

When I want to reject one without discussion I find it works to use the phrase ‘we’re not a match’. They seem to respect it and it’s absolute yet and neutral, so no one needs to waste energy on having a conversation about it.

you don't even need to talk to them just simply ghost them. but if you want to you can tell that your life is on a path that is different than theirs and that you can't hang out or talk with them anymore. and if they ask why tell them that there's nothing more to this just what you said. and if they keep questioning tell them that it's too complicated to explain, maybe wish them well and then block them.
