Curious on how you would have done it?

First and foremost I’m still in the process of trying to figure out what all the color pills are meaning lol. Aka still reading through a lot of these things but I don’t want to have to wait to post.

So date- he paid for the food. We then went to a bar trying to kill time before the movie, not realizing we were there an hour or 2 early, but talked the whole time. I actually said no to a drink, but he offered again a little before we left, he paid. At the movies we were late and while he was getting the tickets I asked if he wanted me to get his popcorn (he mentioned planning to order it when we were at the bar). I also really wanted a hot dog and I didn’t want to be even more late for the movie so I went to go get the snacks (I know I know, I’m still struggling with never paying for anything concept as you can tell!). After that we went to a bar that had video games and what not. He paid for the drinks. And later also asked if I wanted another. Now he did ask if I wanted to go back to his place for the tv/Netflix deal, with his reason being he can actually control that because well, half the games we tried at the bar weren’t working well.

Anyway, sometime before this I already made it clear that I’m not going to be sleeping with anyone that night. And there was something he said (I forgot what) that led to me saying, “Do I seem like the kind of girl who...” and I quite literally cannot remember what I was responding to. [edit: finally remembered. He thought I had said something along the lines of not having fun.. and asked if he did or said anything wrong. I felt bad bc I guess I still wear RBF so he thought we were going to get ready to leave. But I said, “Do I seem like the kind of girl who would just sit here if I wasn’t having fun? I would have just gotten an Uber and left from the last place.”] This was said way sooner than the asking to go over part. He messaged after saying he had fun and also asked about seeing each other again.

Now the movie, I’m a hungry girl. I’m assuming most of you will say I should have just waited. And if that’s really 100% of the responses, is there anyone who is/was in a successful relationship where they slacked a tad on the “no pay” part fully? Or is this really a tried and true method of finding that kind of guy?

What bothered me now versus stuff that wouldn’t have bothered me before finding this sub-

1. He ordered a beer at the restaurant, and yes I ordered a drink too, but not without saying, “Oh what, you don’t think you’ll have a good time with me without alcohol?” And he mentioned how it helps loosen him up. Oh how I wish I hadn’t read that first dates post! Haha!
2. Asking me about going over, on the first meet. I wouldn’t mind nap and chill if this was 3 month into a relationship... I realized I didn’t want to start off at peoples houses during my last almost boyfriend.
3. When he asked me what I wanted to do after the dinner I did somewhat mention a place like Dave and busters, and I can’t remember his response. But it got rejected. Oh I remember, HES the one who said am I expecting to be so bored with him that I need activities? I actually thought that was a good point, but not sure if it was a low key response to what I said about alcohol, haha again.
4. If this was before the sub, I’d probably date him date him. Post sub, I’m not much excited for more dates, it feels more of a hassle and I want to do the things I want to do that’s “my stuff,” instead. For now anyway.
