Every man should read this post, then maybe they wouldn't complain so much about their wives losing their libido (provided there aren't any medical problems that explain it).

Those commenters suggesting that she didn't make an effort to turn him on are so spoiled. Men are almost guaranteed an orgasm and they can be ready for sex in a minute (at least physically). Women can't just will their vagina to be ready if they're not turned on. No matter how "egalitarian" she wants to be. It's good to make your partner feel valued, but women need an extra to even be able to have sex.

I think she described what many of us have felt with men rather beautifully. I think women's sexuality is more receptive to feeling valued consistently, over a long period of time, than a start/stop binary model of 'Horny or no?' that men seem to have.

We need the small, thoughtful displays of a man investing in a woman or the relationship. Of feeling valued for ourselves beyond our sexual selves. We get objectified and sexualised so often, a mental, intellectual or spiritual connection is often what is more erotic and arousing.
