So I had an ex that would do that to me. He would disappear and I wouldn't hear from him for several days at a time. He would go so far as to turn his phone off.

I can't tell you how stressed and crazy I would feel after days of not hearing from him. "I was sleeping, you worry too much."

Bullshit. He liked doing that to me. And then he wouldn't do it again until two months or so passed.
