Good vibes only = I don't have enough braincells to deal with your 'drama' aka wanting commitment and i expect you to put out on the very first date so i can ghost you afterwards and come back 2 months later with some lame excuse, you'll let me f*ck again and i'll ghost you again and repeat.

For these type of men 'bad vibes' means commitment, relationship, not putting up with the bs and lies and actually expecting investment and effort.

I haven't used old in a couple of years but I steer clear of ANYONE who is spouting that bs!

I knew plenty of women who have also said this and were mean, cold, dismissive, selfish, were just out to get ahead for themselves and dump you if you weren't of any resource to them and they gave off horrible vibes themselves but "it's all love" and "good vibes only" on their social media profiles. I honestly think its such a bs front for self centered people.

The men who say this crap, well thats a whole 12 part documentary series in itself.

Good vibes only is code for "I don't want any discussion about my Gaslighting, hot-cold mind games, flakiness, and manipulation. I want zero mature communication and no sense of accountability. If you attempt to set boundaries and expectations, no matter how reasonable, I will label you a high drama, needy, bitch"

To me it translates "I'm not going to be there for you if there is a death or other understandable bad thing happening to you. You need to have happy/neutral emotions or else I will freeze you out." Same with women who say this. Cue the pollyanna "just cheer up teehee!" (a nice way of saying shut up).

I see this pretty often. I just label it as toxic positivity and move on. They're basically just people who can't deal with real life and will become emotionally distant as soon as anything makes them uncomfortable.
