I experienced my slow-fade after sex for the first tine last year. (with someone I was very much into, and was sure that he was on the same page, after over a month of consistent talking.) And I think a lot of women have too.

I’ve casually dated here and there since then but been single. I feel that I’m staying single for the fear of slow fade almost.

I want to have sex, but I know myself and that I’ll most likely get attached after. I’ve done my fair share of fun in college days but now I want something strictly monogamous. Even if I’m up for a FWB arrangement, I don’t want it to be a one time thing, and you just never know with guys what their intentions are, even if you communicate because some men will lie just to get in your pants.

Sometimes I feel the urge to just go for it, just to get some, but I’m scared of feeling empty or regret afterwards. I’ve pretty much given up on finding a relationship now, and I’m happy single.

What do I do? How do I change my mindset so I’m totally cool with casual sex with no expectations at all?
