So I’m somewhat new to this sub and have only been reading for a few months. In these past few months I’ve changed so much of my thinking and attitude and am so grateful for you ladies and this sub!

I was recently talking to my good male friend about some of these things. My friend is a pretty HVM, he’s good looking, emotionally mature, nice, funny, upper middle class background, fit, smart, educated, successful, travels, surfs, meditates, good family, etc

As we were talking though, he confessed to me that he also always lies about his past to women he dates.

Apprently he has cheated a ton in two of his past relationships and used to do a bunch of toxic fuckboy shit. He also said he hides the fact that he had a phase where he was a very heavy drug user.

I was seriously shocked because he’s genuinely such a great guy and everyone in our friends circle thinks so. I would never ever have expected that from him

To be honest, it has kind of shaken my perception and thrown me off mentally. If he can easily hide something that big and come off totally nice and normal, it makes me wary of other supposedly HVM being the same underneath.

Are there any signs to spotting a guy like this? It would awful to fall for a HVM just for him to secretly be something else and finding out after investing so much.
