So I’ve been seeing this guy for about 2 months now, but I learned some information from mutual friends that has made me realize he hasn’t been completely honest about his past. I honestly don’t even care to hear his side of the story, because I don’t want to take the risk of going through what his ex did- according to them. Any red flag is an out for me. It is a shame though, because I really liked him.

Tomorrow we’re getting coffee before work, as we both work in the service industry, and it’s hard to find time to spend together before 10 PM. I’ve been under a lot of outside stress lately, and I’m worried that I’m going to cry or be upset, because it’s just another thing on the list of reasons I’m anxious or upset lately.

I know I have to be a grown up and cut him off in person, but how do I do this without getting super emotional about everything? And if I do get emotional anyway, is that bad? Because I don’t mean to invalidate my own feelings. I just worry that I’m wasting my breath on someone who doesn’t deserve to hear them.
