How long is too long to wait until someone messages you after a date?

I would say around 24 hours. Ideally he should text you right after the date to make sure you got home ok/tell you he had a great time/set up the next date. He should also have asked for your phone number at the end of the date.

If a man is really interested, he's not going to waste any time in letting you know that and scheduling to see you again. I would move on.

The guy who hasn’t even bothered asking for your real phone number isn’t that into you. Also, Snapchat, really? That’s acceptable only if you’re a teenager. I’d wait one more day, if nothing happens block and delete him.

The absolute maximum for me is 2 days, assuming there was the expected "thanks for a nice evening" message immediately following the date. If he hadn't even sent that, I'd be out after 24 hours. If he's not excited to see you again, don't waste more time.

Most guys have texted me right after the date. Some text the next morning. If it’s been almost two days, either he’s playing hard to get (dumb) or he’s not interested/has other things going on.

4 days after a date is ok to wait for a text. However the fact that he didn’t ask for your phone number is just strange.
