Never accept last minute dates. Never accept a weekend date past Wednesday. Tell these men that you're busy (even if you're not), what you're up to is none of their business, and if they cry about it block and move on.

This guy sounds like a loser, tbh. Get rid of him and find other men to date.

If that’s the best you can say, move on.

And don’t bother to give details. If you’re asked out late just keep it vague as to why you’re unavailable and state that you need advance notice anyway. Any attempt on his part to argue with you should be ignored. Send a vague emoticon as an answer then leave him hanging if he persists.

Remember JADE when stating stuff like preferences and availability and feelings. It’s a useful tip to avoid getting embroiled in petty conversations.

Hey, I think you shouldn't over-interpret what he says, but I would also be put off by him expecting you to be 'on call' for the same night. Feels a bit like another tinder date cancelled and now he's trying to hit you up as a replacement.

Put your foot down and say that you don't like and never accept spontaneous invites, but you are happy to go out with him again if he gives you a few days' notice. You'll be able to tell from his reaction if he is willing to put in the effort.

Also, I think I know he’s not right for me, but I’m second guessing myself because I’ve been on a number of dates and haven’t clicked with anyone, I’m wondering if I’m being unreasonable or too picky. (In a bad way, not a good way, lol)

Thanks, I like that reply. However, he never says ok no problem, it’s “how old are you?” ( implying I’m a grandma?) “You’re too busy for me”, etc. Should I just not reply? Say good night.

Thanks so much for all the replies. I feel so weak in these situations, I hate it. So if I say I’m busy or I have plans and they ask what or where or am I seeing other guys, is there a reply I can use? A polite one, or if they ask are they already showing impoliteness? Thanks :)
