Hello queens! I've been thinking about this a lot lately and I'm really curious to hear your opinions related to this topic.
So, ever since I can remember myself, even back in middle school there was this hyper-focus on the way that girls look. I was exposed to a lot of magazines, tv shows, etc that portrayed what a good-looking, hot, and beautiful woman "should" look like. I vividly remember being like 7-9 years old and feeling insecure about my body and comparing it to other girls. I've always had nice and thick glutes and I felt fat and ugly compared to my classmates, who had less prominent glutes and used to shame me for looking different. It all changed though. Later in high school, I remember that in my sophomore year I started hitting puberty and got a lot of unwanted attention for that from my male classmates. One of them (who was my crush at a time, yuck!) said that I had it all in the looks department but I lack boobs, as opposed to my classmate XYZ. Everyday guys would compare ould loud and even grope us, girls. It felt wrong and humiliating and overall made me feel like a bought chicken for the dinner. Like they just brought me from Walmart or something and now they're deciding what parts look and would taste the best and what parts are to be thrown to the curb.

Growing up was a constant comparison of my body to others, feeling good and feeling horrible about myself, ups and downs, highs and lows. Do I need to lose my stomach fat? I love my butt and my tiny waist. But I hate the stretch marks on my thighs and cellulite. I hope XYZ still finds me attractive with those. But how can he? I have a small chest and probably should save up for surgery if I ever want to find a guy. The environment didn't help either. Porn sick, below average in all departments horny teenage boys who had the audacity to tell you what's good about your body and what's bad. Society telling us that women need to hunt beauty and youth forever if they want a man, and a man is all that you could ever ask for. Parents, who had their own issues and insecurities projected onto you. My mom also has a small chest and I remember being like 12 and hearing from her that it would be better if I get a boob job done and that she always wanted one but couldn't afford it. (looking back though, I don't blame her, given that she was growing up in the same shitty world as me and a lot of other women). Etc etc etc.

Now tik tok and plastic surgery are becoming more and more popular. Both expose girls to what they could look like if they change themselves if they mold themselves into this "perfect' version of a girl.

The question is how do you start loving whatever you've got going on in terms of your body? For example, I have a small chest. It's not completely flat, but it's tiny. I personally don't really have a big problem with that, sometimes I even think it's cute. But whenever I wear something tight or a swimsuit I can't help but feel flat and insecure. And all those guys shaming small chests and calling women with it "a kid" or "undeveloped" or "you'd look way hotter with bigger boobs doesn't help either. Like, I'm 20 and I'm still a virgin, and one of the reasons as to why is that I feel absolutely terrified about getting naked in front of someone. What if they don't like it? What if they judge my body? I'm a 5'7 ish, I have long hair, a nice figure, a tiny waist, nice gluts, legs, a kinda model-like look. When I voice my insecurity to my friends, some of them don't believe me, some of them get mad, some of them think I'm joking. Perhaps because they think that I'm fishing for compliments or something of that sort. I did some modeling, agencies reach out to me so that's why they don't get how I can feel insecure. And that may be fair enough, but that doesn't change the fact that I AM insecure. I've always been, and even though I had what would be considered a "physical glow up" I still fucking feel insecure and I hate that.

How do I start loving my body? How do I start feeling great about it, about all of its parts?

I understand that like 70% of my insecurity comes from other people's opinions and trends etc. How do I overcome that? I want to love my body in its all states and all of it. And I want to feel so confident in it that I couldn't care less about some LVM's opinion about it. I don't want to waste my life and money trying to become the IT girl, whatever that means. How do I do that?
