I’m in Istanbul at the moment. I was having breakfast this morning and I heard an American guy at the next table joking with the waiter and I laughed and acknowledged his hello. Before I knew it he was sitting at my table and we were talking the morning away. The bill came and he didn’t offer to pay for my meal and just added to my bill what he ordered. Fair enough I guess since I ordered before he sat down. Then we decided to walk around the markets shopping all day and he did pay for dinner at a waterfront restaurant. A couple of things didn’t sit right with me. He said he’s now paying $3000 a month for a personal dating coach who is managing his OLD and setting him up on dates, in USA and overseas, and he’s also an eager host of couch surfing people and that lifestyle. No offense to backpackers and couch surfers, but why would a successful business owner open up his home to these kinds of people? I certainly wouldn’t, and the whole thing is off putting to me. He’s asked me out again tomorrow. What do you ladies think? Am I right be her turned off by his online dating coach and Couchsurfing interests? Would you go out with him tomorrow? Thanks.
