Listen to your gut feeling. You’re obviously getting weird and uncomfortable vibes, stop making excuses for him and reduce contact.

Being poor doesn’t necessarily mean you’re bad with money, don’t conflate the two. I grew up poor/working class, and my single mum was very capable with budgeting.

This guy clearly feels entitled to what he cannot afford and has shitty credit as a result. Don’t overthink it. Believe men when they show you who they are.

Only if he was paying for someone's cancer treatment who didn't have insurance. Any other reason most likely boils down to him being extremely entitled and/or having a bad news personality disorder or POSSIBLY having some sort of brain injury that interferes dramatically with executive function. Basically, don't trust him for anything.
