Yup after the very first dates there is no reason to keep seeing a person unless you feel like it's a mutual "fuck yes" situation. For maybe the first couple of dates or so fair enough, people, everyone is just trying to feel things out and possibly seeing multiple people. But after that you want to be sure that you are actually excited to be meeting the other person and that they are also enthusiastic about meeting you. Never get into the habit of dragging things along when you are not actually really it or feel like nothing more than an option to the guy. Doing so would simply be a waste of your time. If it's not a fuck yes, it is a no and the no should come as quickly as possible so you can have a chance to meet someone you click with.

This was literally me at 19. I’m proud that I was raised by a strong woman. I was able to take myself out of the equation immediately. Wished him the best and kept it moving. One of the best decisions I made.

Be the chooser not the one waiting to be chosen. Let them pursue you, then take your pick. This may sound old fashioned because well, it is, but I got this advice from a friend’s dad who always treated her mother really well and respected women. He said to me to “let them chase you.” It was in reference to me trying to make a boyfriend make an effort. When you let yourself be pursued you are actually in control. They are vulnerable showing you their feelings first and they are doing the work trying to convince you why you should be with them. It seems like even if a man is interested in a woman, as soon as she shows even equal interest, his interest lessens. Now please don’t downvote me, I may just be picking lousy dudes. However, I heard a comedian say my parents are happily married but my dad has been convincing my mom for 30 years to stick around and she still might leave. I think men deep down always want to believe they are winning a woman over and that she can and will go to another man if he doesn’t treat her right.
