Just found this sub today and I'm fascinated. I'm wondering if anyone could give me some input on a situation I'm currently in. After reading through the recommended reading, I realize I made some mistakes and now I'm wondering what, if anything, I can do.

Ok I've been on 3 dates with a guy within the last month. We have a great connection so far and I really enjoy spending time with him.

1st date: He initiated and planned a coffee date. He made me pay for my own coffee, which I felt kind of miffed by. 2nd date: I initiated and planned 2nd date but he cancelled with less than an hour notice due to work (he's a resident physician and something came up at work). He was apologetic and then he took it upon himself to reschedule and take me to a nice restaurant. He made a reservation. We went dutch on this date... I grabbed my wallet and offered to split it before he really had a chance to pay. 3rd date: I initiated/planned. We went to a not-so-fancy but still delicious Mexican chain restaurant (my choice). When the check came out, he very politely asked if it was OK if he paid this time, and I let him.

So far he hasn't been sexual at all, not even slightly suggestive. The most physical contact we had was a hug after date 3 (I initiated). He's incredibly respectful.

I've done a really good job about not being constantly available by text. I keep conversations short, excusing myself before we're really done. There are usually several days between our text conversations. I do tend to initiate the conversations though.

I think he may be an HVM. What are my next steps from here? I can see a few things I've done to lower my value. I really do like this guy and want to give myself the best chance with getting a commitment from him.
